End of an era?

Formula 1 continues to go out of its way to become more and more a parody of its former glory. The US GP at Indianapolis today ran with a grand total of six cars; 2 Ferraris, 2 Jordans and 2 Minardis. The Michelin-clad teams all boycotted due to safety reasons. Granted, my Dutch compatriot Albers managed to finish in the points (there was no way he could not), but that is little comfort if even Stoddart, Minardi's chief, indicated that he had planned to hold to his word and boycott, were it not for Eddie J. being a sneakthief!

Courtesy of Max Mosley's Comedy Revue and the French Fairness Squad, fans were cheated out of money, respect, and most of all, a good race. Thanks, guys, guaranteeing that we won't see another Grand Prix on US soil in the next 20 years at least! Who in their right mind would choose to shell out good cash, only to get shafted? No, really... Much obliged! A1 GP is starting to look VERY attractive!!

I wonder if the tifosi still cheered for Michael's win on this one... Maybe Mosley's nefarious scheme was only effected to put Schumi back in contention?

Lord Michael compels his flock to remain loyal as they flee the scene.
