An introduction of sorts

This site originally started in the days before blogging, when self-publishing on the web still meant that you actually had to... ooohhh... ahhhh... WRITE HTML!!!

Aparatchik MkI was started in 2000 to herald the arrival of the revolution of the Digital Proletariat. Lo and behold, within months, the NASDAQ was down 3000+ points, worker ants were being relieved of duty across the world, refugees started to arrive in places like Akron, OH, back to Mom & Dad, back from Santa Clara.

Did I despair? You bet I did... When Danger, Inc had their launch party at Ruby Skye anno domini 2002, Aparatchik stood completely stunned at the sight of such rampant disregard for current malaise! Stilt walkers!! Trapeze acts!! Lobster paella!! Open bar!!!! Maybe the world had NOT ended??

Enough malarky, you say... What's this crap all about?! It's my out, my go past Go and collect all benefits due, my myopic, distorted and potentially skewed view of the world. My mind exposed, to see if we collectively can discover what, if anything, actually goes on in there!
