DEFINITELY, derived from 'define'.
not:
DEFINATELY
DEFINATLY
DEFINATLEY
DEFENITLY
DEFENATELEY
and definitely not:
DEFIANTLY.
For cryin' out loud, people...

oh golly, yes, it's a bore. Although being an immigrant from "gear-my-knee" even I, too, cringe at this particular one, because, sheesh, it is so, er, frequent.
